Leonard Peters (1999) is a filmmaker, interdisciplinary artist and musician from the Netherlands, based in Amsterdam and Berlin. Leonard began his career as an actor and has a strong passion for the piano and singing. Interested in the relationship between humans and nature, he explores themes of decay and the poetry of everyday life. His practice consists of films, mixed-media performances and musical compositions.
After studying filmmaking in Sweden and Germany, Leonard founded Studio Lennu, where he directs, edits and writes documentary, essay and hybrid film works. He currently works at VPRO public broadcasting, where he makes podcasts, produces the DocTalks for NPODoc - the Netherlands’ largest documentary platform - and he carries out visual research and editing for the weekly live TV show Buitenhof.
