In the middle of the night in a church in Maastricht, Leonard invites an audience into the landscapes of No Man's Land. A triptych film concert with piano and vocals No Man's Land is a land in images and sound, a land of here and nowhere, a land of fantasy and reality.
Over the course of two years, Leonard walked from the Belgian border to the south-west coast of Finland to experience the silence of the landscape. He filmed the landscapes with a compact camera, and wrote music during his journey.
Niemandsland was performed in the former Lutheran Church in Maastricht.
The performance was nominated for the Limburg Film Pitch 2021 and was revewed in De Limburger.
